Swedish House Gash'ia

Just left SHM early as the gig was fucking awful. Double mug & chips is all I can say about them boys, jeez! If I had to review this gig, I would be Seriously upset at my Manager for suggesting that I take the time out to even do such a thing....! The only decent quality about the night, was the pyrotechnics that assists their performances. It's a cross between a really trippy squat party and a circus; visually stunning.

Still, what a waste of our time. We went down to the floor and it was carnage, of the bad sort. Full of kids, fucked out of their faces, all wearing dated neon (did I just walk into a Tidy gig?) and parading around pilled off their nuts with bright-blue-tongues. Tragic...

At one point - we were stood right next to the boys and they were all huddled together, chatting and doing shit on their phones, whilst the music was still playing and the front of the booth/stage was completely empty???!

As for the music. Dated tunes, pretentiously remixed and poorly executed. Think: Run DMC meets a poor Lady Gaga. Plus, the average track they played lasted less than two minutes.

A quick goodbye to the staff, a sharp exit and a 20 minute Add Lee journey we arrive back in Notting Hill, bitching and getting ready for a PROPER party session commencing in 6 hours :) What to do to fill the time *grins*

Me being me, couldn't resist a dig at Seb Ingrosso for spending more time on his phone than he did on the decks *rolls eyes & chuckles like a little girl*.

It read something like this:

"Dude, get off your phone, seriously!! You came to perform, so do just that. You have thousands of fans in front of you that paid good money to see you play records, not update your life. Or have you got too big for your own shoes that you've forgotten that you're a FUCKING DJ!! waaaaaaaa :-p"

(I hope that comment doesn't land me in it @ work....?!)

All in all; A glamorized, Saturday night Disco Dave with his two mates, pressing buttons and giving a lemonade performance on a Champagne budget.

Laters,

Ash T x
